Our Mission is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Educate until every dog has a loving and safe place to call home. We believe we can, and we will see an end to dog homelessness and abuse through legislative efforts, hard work and strategic partnerships near and far. We will never give up and we will never back down from the needs of all heartbeats because every life matters.
​Dog of the Month!
Huckleberry Hound came to us from Tennessee after surviving heartbreaking abuse and neglect. For a long time, regular meals and a safe place to sleep were luxuries. But through it all, he held onto his spirit. Today, Huckleberry is an affectionate, outgoing dog who just needs a slow, gentle introduction to feel safe. Once he knows you, he’s full of love, energy, and personality. He enjoys long walks, playtime with toys, and making new friends, though he can be selective with other dogs. He’s food-motivated and thrives with consistent training and structure. Because of his exuberance, he’s best suited for an adult-only home with plenty of space and a patient family ready to give him a second chance.
